THanks to everyeone who replied to my question on which nail polish to buy. I've decided to take your advise and buy CND nail polish which has the 50 colours and 15 effects :green:

My question now is, a local wholesaler is selling CND nail polishes, but I am not sure if these are the 50 colours range . . . I've been looking at buying basic ones which I think will be more popular at the moment like Candy Apple 85, and Sneaky 214 etc. Am I being an idiot and looking at the wrong range? I am aren't I!

yep lol
you need to go to sweet squared.com and look at the new COLOUR EFFECTS range. thats the new range of polishes hunni
x

Plus there is not a local wholesaler for CND IN Nottingham!! Someone else selling illegal goods that are god only knows how old and battered.

Do the smart thing and ring Sweet Squared who have 6 lovely ladies in customer service who will tell you the hottest colours and effects and help you make the right choices OR have a day out and go along to see them all for yourself ... OR
ask JACK to take you lol .... he knows the way quite well.

actually we have 8 lovely ladies in customer service now :)

Thanks for the advise! I will not be buying from this whole saler now!!! Instead will ring Sweet Squared up at some point to get a catalogue, as I am buying all my stuff to set up in 6 to 12 months time, so there is quite a few things I need, so probably buy a few things each month :green: so its not such a big shock to the bank balance!

Also, just back to this wholesalers . . . it says CND going across the bottle (left to right), were as on Sweet Squared website, its just says colour going top to bottom on the bottle, so maybe they are very old bottles . . . or worse, fake ones!

So excited, want to start buying now :)

Don't think their real.
I thought only s2 were the only distributors in UK for the polish

The bottles you describe are the previous design - there may be nothing wrong with them, we shouldnt assume they are fakes.

However they are not an authorised CND seller in the UK so it is best to buy from authorised distributors and this way you get the customer service and any problems you might have (hopefully not) can be sorted out properly.

S2 is the HOME of CND in the UK and they are the only legal licensed distributor for the brand ALONG WITH several wonderful associates/colleagues in London, Scotland, Bournemouth, Coventry and in a couple of short weeks time, Manchester.

If anyone else is selling CND to anyone in the UK via any other route such as the internet or other, they are not legally licensed to do so. If in doubt, Check with S2 to make sure you are buying the 'real deal' from an authorised dealer. x

Nor should we assume they are not fake. They may also have been tampered with (as happened to another geek recently who bought thinned down polishes) which did not perform. I have also seen polishes from illegal distributors where they have poured two half bottles of different colours together and sent them off as new ... colours never seen before!!! All sorts of shenanigans go on with these people. Stay away from it.

Your CND distributor is not just there to sort out potential problems for you either (thankfully we have very few of those with CND) ... they are there to PARTNER with you in growing your business and to HELP you to do this in any way they can. A good distributor is not just a vendor of products ... a good distributor is much more than that; they are there to serve you , to help you succeed and to offer support when you need it.

I thought there was an Ellisons in Nottingham.....Or has that closed?

Thanks, didn't know that :o..

if Ellisons is there then they are one of S2's authorised distributors.

Ellisons is based in Birmingham, Leicester and Coventry - not Notts!!!

I just went to my CND distributor and picked up some of the fab new colours and effects! I went for muddy rose, electric purple and fireberry in the colours and copper shimmer and amethyst sparkle in the effects. I must say I love the new ergonomic shape that allows you to hold the bottle and open it with the same hand - off to do some toes now!!
