Hi Geeks, and happy easter.

I am in a bit of a dilema and i cant make up my mind what to do next.

I am wanting to train in spray tanning and i am also want to do the CND Foundation course. I have weighed up my options and i think it is going to cost the same amount of money.

Do you think it is the best time to do spray tanning with it coming up to weddings and summer holidays etc or would you say nails are more popular around this time.

I want to do both both i am not sure which one will be more popular over the summer months.

Any advice / thoughts would be greatly received.

Well as im obssesed with spray tans  and i mean obsessed lol I would say go for that, a member of my family does it and she is earning allot! And at least you will be brown 24/7 like me :lol:

You would probably be best sussing out your existing clients and see what they are likely to go for most. I have done bothe nail and spray tan courses and i prefer to do spray tanning, it is quick and easy to do, however you may get more regular clients for infills on nails. Its hard to say

You need to think about the time that its going to take you to learn how to do the service you choose!

It takes a long time to master how to do nail enhancements... the course its self is over 6weeks. Some people don't feel comfortable enough to have paying clients after the 6weeks!

With spray tan... you are trained in one day, to the standard were you can have paying clients the next day... if not the same day! (if trained properly)

Over the next few month, i will get loads of new clients for nail enhancements. But this week alone i have had 8 new clients for a spray tan (with it been a bank holiday) It takes 10-15 mins to do a spray tan (thats including getting my kit out my car, setting up, spraying the client, packing up and taking payment) Doing nail enhancements takes me 1hr 30mins. But when i 1st started it took me anything from 2hrs - 3hrs.

Both nail enhancements and spray tan are excellent for the summer months but if you are looking at it from a business point of view you need to know whats going to be more profitable for you.

hth

Just to add, if you do Spray Tan 1st, all the profit you can make off spray tan could pay for you to do your CND course! xx

Great thanks everyone, i think i might do the spray tanning first and then CND later in the year. I have my Beauty exam in July so i cant really have the nails on for that.
Now my next question is which spray tan do all use?

My family member uses Couture it smells lush! and lasts a long time and fades well xx

i am a spray tan geek:lol:. you can train for st in a day nail take much longer.
you can do 3 or 4 tans in the time i would take you 2 do a set of nails.
also setting up a good kit for each you would probs spend the same amount of $$.
when i worked in a salon both things were even. dont forget if u do the tan for the summer save some $$ so u can do nails in time for christmas. BECAUSE THE TIME WILL FLY:eek:
