Is the CND retention powder to be used with the retention liquid? I used it with a regular monomer and it was TERRIBLE. It took me 2 hours to do my aunts nails. She's my first practice client

Yes, you should always use the products designed to go together. Ret+ powders need to be used with Retention + liquid. The pick up of the liquid is different to using CND perfect colour powders too.
CND Perfect colour powders can be used with moxie,ret+ and Radical CND monomer liquid.
