Complete Newbie to site

Hi All,
Im a complete newbie to this site so looking for general advice? I qualified 3 years ago and have sat on the qualification until now as I was about to have a daughter at the time - now Im ready to go for it! Ive heard a lot about PHD waxing through various sites so thought about buying one through EBAY as ive only ever used standard pot waxing. The person selling doesnt have instructions - do I need them or is it self explanitory? Ive also looked into doing Sienna X spray tans? Any thoughts? Where do you guys buy your beauty products from? Sorry for all the question but any help/suggestions/thoughts would be greatly appreciated as ive been out the "mix" until now... thanks so much!

I would be careful about buying products from Ebay - though that is my personal opinion.
As for buying products, well there are quite a few.

Spray tans are great and again there are many companies out there with whom you can train with. If you use the search button and type in spray tanning, you will find lots of threads about it and what ones people prefer, recommend etc.

I agree with Miss Star - certain things are fine to buy from eBay, but with electrical equipment i am always going to buy new. You don't know how it's been treated beforehand or how old it is. In addition to this, with certain items you don't always know they are the genuine goods (there are many horror stories of decanting into brand bottles of non brand items etc.

As for waxing systems - i'm new to the site & everybody advised me of many different systems out there & bottom line is what you feel is going to be best for you. If you're going to to be mobile the roller systems etc heat up quickly & are less likely to spill in transit, but if people are coming to use, you will have time to turn on equipment prior to their arrival.

I went to practice using different systems at Loubylou's salon & there i used the clean & easy system there & found that really easy to use & also the fact that you can see the wax through the rollers helps as you know when you're running low.

I also tried out the non-strip/hot wax for under-arm hair & it was brilliant. Again never used it before, but am definitely going to buy this for bikini line, under-arm & sensitive areas.

Wow check me giving advice when i'm not fully qualified yet!:lol: But the advice i got from others about my which wax question was great, so just thought i'd share my info with you.
