Please help!!!!!!

I found this site whilst searching for nail courses.
After reading some of the threads about courses, it has left me feeling totally confused.:irked:
I have looked at my local college but most of the short courses don't start now until January and I will have to do the manicure and pedicure course first which will take 18 weeks. I was hoping to find the same course now so that I can start the acrylics course in January.

Can anyone advise me? I am in Manchester.

Thanks

Hi there,
I think NSI have a training centre in Manchester. All different nail courses.

it might be because at college the manicure/pedicure course is shorter, at my local college mani/pedi takes about 16 weeks but my nail extensions course was about 30 weeks.

Please help!!!!!!

You can do short courses for manicures and pedicures, and then go on the colleges acrylic course.

Any course can be done in a couple of days but colleges give you a lot more experience and practice which is great for troubleshooting.

If you go on professional beauty website they have a directory of colleges and beauty schools in your area.

Central college of beauty in Manchester is one I highly recommend as I have had excellent staff from there before.

I am Creative trained and would recommend it to anyone - call 0845 210 6060, I know they have training in Manchester. They have won many awards for their education and, in my opinion, their products are second to none. - HTH

Go to the open day Jackie is doing at la femme on the 16th of November.
She will help you and give you advice and although she is with la femme she will be honest 100%

If you go to college you do things a lot slower but once qualified you then have a certificate that can let you specialise in any product - you would obviously have to complete the suppliers/manufacturers conversion course, usually 1 or 2 days and not too expensive.

However, if you do a shorter course with a supplier/manufacturer you are only qualified to use their products. If you find you want to change to another product you would then have to complete their course too.

This is not correct, you can do a conversion course in this instance too
