Ok odd situation...

I started doing pamper parties back in Feb and have done a few with basic 15 min treatments or deluxe with 30 min treatments.

I have recently changed my website so my parties are on a seperate site.

Party is similar to that of an ann summers for example you have treatemnts but can buy discounted products, host gets gift and 10% of sales to spend on her order.

Someone I went to college with does the same thing under a different name in a different area ( about 15 miles away) and is saying that i'm stealing her business model and she is contacting her solicitor!

Surely you cannot copyright a pamper party?

There is plenty of business and I am happy to be adult and share, I even suggested I place a link on my site for parties that are in "her" area!

Any views will be great!

I cant really see what she can do about it. Loads of people do the same thing. 15 miles away is not that close plus its not copy writed and i dont think she could copy write the idea as many people before her came up with this idea and offer this service aswel. Have you recently finish college? xx

We both qualify next month but the parties I've done are just family and friends for cost so far.

I'm just getting as much practice as possible and setting everything up like websites for when I can take full paying customers, I don't intend to masivly advertise just continue to do friends/ family And friends of friends for "pocket money" to go towards my wedding next year

So whats she going on about then the silly mare. I would just ignore her she s just jealous. I wouldnt be put off by it i mean your 15 miles apart and it wasnt her idea in the first place. Shes just afraid of a little competition. Ask her if shes going to get intouch with her solicitor about the rest of us that offer this service. haha. good luck hun. xx

just ignore her, i had the same with a girl saying i was copying her prices!!??? hahah wtf?! these people have no idea leave her to it and you show her your bigger and better than her as already said - the silly mare! lol x

Are your parties described exactly as hers ? Same idea, wording, prices etc ?

For example if I looked at your website and hers would your party description be pretty much identical to her website ? If so then I can see why she is a bit miffed.

If your idea is just similar and you have in no way just lifted the info from her website then I can't really see what her problem is.
