has anyone done this course?
really keen to enrol, but a little worried about the cost of the tools i will need - cant seem to get a straight answer anywhere!
i have received the info and it says i will have to purchase a set of tools but it doesnt say what i actually need, the cost etc ..
phoned their helpline and although the woman was very nice and helpful she just basically read out the info that i already had :irked:
will £50 cover me for a set of manicure tools, just dont want to book the course then find out i have to scrape the money from somewhere to buy expensive tools .. its just not in my budget at the moment, i need to know i can afford to do the course!
also, does anyone know what freebies you get once you have completed the course - says you receive spa manicure kit at the end
many thnks

Hi,

I actually enrolled on the course a couple of weeks ago and they said they'll send a confirmation letter with all the info in it. I haven't received it as yet but will let you know once i do :)
Where are you thinking of doing the course?

I have just looked in the Sweet Squared catalogue and there is a leather tool kit for just a few pounds over the budget of £50, we are not allowed to give figures on here. You will have to pay VAT on top. This kit includes:

  • leather wallet
  • Precision Pushie Knife
  • Double Ended Pushie
  • Curved Scissors
  • 3mm Nail Nippers
  • Toe nail clippers
These are top quality tools which you could buy and they will last for years or alternatively for a cheaper option till you get going all you really need is, cuticle pusher, cuticle knife, curved scissors and nail nippers. If in doubt ring S2 and ask to speak to an educator expalin that you have spoken already but you are still unsure. hth's.

enjoy your course. good luck :)

Hi, I'm bumping up the thread again, hoping there's someone out there who knows this...

Like I said before, I've enrolled on this course which is this Wednesday, I still haven't received the letter even though I phoned CND on Wednesday to enquire.
Therefore I still have no idea what tools I'll be needing and even if the letter arrives on Monday, it'll be too late to order anything!

Help :)

I have given the answer already, but if you are unsure ring S2 on Monday your letter may have gotten lost in the post. I am sure you will be able to buy the things you need on the day of your course that is if where you are training has a shop. What academy is it at?

If you cannot buy them on the day I'm sure they will sort you out with something to use for your course and let you know what you need to buy!

Thanks Anne, I'm doing the course in London, didn't realise they have a shop there, makes things much easier. Anyway, I'll phone S2 and maybe the academy as well tomorrow and hopefully get it sorted.

I don't know for sure that they have a shop there, I would imagine that they do as it is one of the larger academies for CND. I do my training in Leeds. Some other geeks will know for sure!

try doing a search first or failing that do a new thread asking does the Ketan Patel CND academy in London have a shop, someone is sure to answer :) It may get overlooked in this thread!

good luck on your course you will love it, let me know how you get on
