I know that you can get excellent training from Creative Nail design
0845 210 6060 this is the number to ring for details on their courses and prices,
some consider this to be expensive but it really isn't, you get what you pay for in this life,
plenty of people have chosen cheaper courses only to find that they have not learnt enough to make a career out of what they have learnt and find they then have to spend more hundreds of pounds in order to get the training that they should have had the first time around,
if it means you have to wait a little longer than you would have liked it is worth it to get top class training,
ask for money for xmas to help pay for your course hth

I understand your budget woes, but please listen to the voice of experience.

I once chose a lower-rate course..... and wound up spending more in the end because I wasted a tonne of product & time learning through trial and error what I wasn't taught in my course.
AND then I learned even more here on this site, that wasn't taught in my course.

PLEASE do yourself a favour, and spend the big bucks for the better course. In the end, it'll cost you less and bring you to success sooner with repeat clients.

There are all sorts of threads here, about choosing the right course.
Do a search on that topic and you'll find LOADS of info.

good luck

hiya thanx for advice will look into it

I paid big bucks for my coarse and it sucked the big one!! I learned more after I left school by trial and error, from others already licensed and from sites like this - so BEWARE!! Talk to people who have gone through the schools, first hand experience is the only way to know what your paying for!! I took it for granted that it was a good school where they were governed by an association but so not the case. Good luck!!

oohhhh errr thanx for that i havent got big bucks anyway just getting conflicting advice from people im asking and sooooo confused the local college is offering course but not offering gel app on the course also friend said there not very good. Want to do course b4 i change my mind as ive not much confidence in myself once ive trained i know ill be lot happier ive just paid a fortune for my own nails doing love the result i had calgel!! and know theres a gap in market for mobile nails raring to go but where do i start lol

Hi, I so agree with all the others that you should take your time and choose a course wisely. You have the information on here to guide you, so take your time when reading it.

Decent courses/products cost money, no denying it. However, you'd be amazed at just how much you can pay for inferior training and products. It is perfectly possible to actually wind up spending more on these and you will still come away having learned less and with stock that won't give you really professional results.

When you do your research, you will find that the top companies compare extremely favourably with so called 'Cheaper' courses and brands. It is a totally false economy, so don't go down the route that so many of us have, only to arrive back at square one. Choose wisely and in an informed way and you will only have to pay once! Good luck. :)

I agree 100% I have paid far less in training than some of my colleagues, because I did it right first time

 Go and have a look at a few companies and see if they do demo days and see what you think of their products, attitude to education etc and then make your decision

I am one of the unlucky people that learned the hard way but this was more down to personal situation than lack of knowledge on what i the best education.

Luckily I was in a position to pay for a course at CND in leeds back in 2005 however due to ongoing ill health I was unable to complete this course. I did get my products and CND kept on rescheduling my course but after about 6 months to a year I was too ill to care about the money and gave up on it at that time.

So when I started to feel better I enrolled on a homelearn course and soon realised that this was not the way forward for me, so more money wasted. I have not as yet completed this course, not sure I ever will, don't really see much point. I chose this cos I though learning at home at this time for me was the best option as still not well enough to go to college and I could do it in my own time with no pressure.

A year later (2007) I was well enough to attend college part time and did my level 2 Nail Technology and the course was paid for by DHSS. I couldn't afford at this time to pay for a foundation course at Creative.

In September this year I finally passed my Creative Liquid and Powder course, I have gone on to do skill building and level 3 at college part time.

So my advice is of all ways that I have experienced learning nails Creative with Sweet Squared beats the rest hands down, they are superior in my opinion and you can't go far wrong. The products, customer service and student support are second to none. Hope that helps.
