Hi Guys

Just thinking again as many are about offering tanning as another treatment and i am looking for a good tan system - I know a lot of you recommend tantrix and sienna etc but i was wondering if anyone has any knowledge or experience using couture tanning???

Yes quiet a few use it, they love it, and I've not heard anything bad about it.
If you are thinking of training at Milton Keynes I can tell you that Anne Swain and her team are a lovely group, I did my nail training with them back when they were part of the Creative team. Fab ladies who really know their stuff and have a passion to teach:hug:

Couture is gorgeous!

Its a lovely natural tan without the 'orange look' I love the way it smells and it gives great condition to your skin it makes it feel so soft.

It is a very long lasting colour mine can last upto 12 days. They do have a great retail range too for you to sell to clients.

My training was really fab with couture the lady covered everything for me and trained me up to brilliant standards.

I will soon be a couture trainer am just going through the process now with them.

hths xx

I had samples from couture and i sprayed my nephew. It did seem to last a long time but is more expensive than any other one i have tried. It is about £20 more than 2 i already use so i wouldn't change but it is a nice colour. My clients are happy with the 2 i have now so i will be sticking with them for the foreseeable future.
I will pm you their prices if you haven't already got them.

Couture is fab, great tan, great products and a great company to deal with too. I haven't had one disappointed customer with Couture, in fact many of my clients come on recommendation!

Hi,
I have'nt used it yet but read it was fab and have my training booked for a couple of weeks time. The lady I spoke to was VERY honest and said as it is such a mine field and individual choice why not train locally as like anything you improve with practice. I was offered a fab deal of Maxi Mist machine, 1ltr of tan and training but obviously IF I don't get on with Coutour as I will have had the training and machine I can then choose another product if I wanted to.

I am hoping this won't be the case as they are local for getting stock and I have heard only good things about the product.

Have fun choosing!!!

We used Couture and Fake Bake when I did my spray tanning course at college. I was really impressed with Couture which I was sprayed with - the colour was great and it faded nicely (and my prep wasn't good lol!).

I advise you to use this site to its full potential and do a search on couture tan,
by asking people who use it, you are only going to get good reviews,
do a search and you will find that not everyone has been happy with couture, hth

Hi, i use Couture and absolutely LOVE it!

All my clients comment on it. The gorgeous colours, there are two to choose from, which makes it pretty easy. It doesn't smell bad like other tans i've used. It fades away nicely, rather than going streaky or patchy.

Also most of my tan clients are from word of mouth because everyone loves it so much. None of my clients have heard of it tho, they only seem to know St Tropez and Fake Bake.

There is a thread on here comparing tans so you should have a look xx

Hi - What great price were you given????

Hi, when i started tanning i tried loads of solutions, however, not couture, as someone said above you'll find good and bad results for most solutions it is really down to personal preferance. I did some reserach and would say that checking the ingredients in the solution is essential, a lot of solutions have alcohol and parabens in them, these dry the skin and if not moisturised makes it flaky and when the tan starts to wear off will give a scaly effect which of course, is not good. at the moment i am using Tan Addict, it is an aloe based solution, all natural ingredients, so no dryness, it has a guide colour and also tan enhancers and vitamin a d and e in it. My customers love it, the colour is beautiful, i wish someone would have pointed me to it 5 years ago when i started tanning, but saying that i think theyve only been going about a year, they are in the north west and the staff are lovely, very helpful. they do training etc and give gree samples as well so worth checking out. :) www.spray-tanz.co.uk. hope this helps.

This is very intersting given that many, many cosmetic products do contain parabens. Where did you research this?

Hi, yes your right, Parabens can be found in shampoos, commercial moisturizers, shaving gels, cleansing gels, lubricants, topical pharmaceuticals, toothpaste, etc etc the list is endless. However there are Parabens that are OK and Parabens that are bad, alot of tests have been done on the use of them and there is evidence to suggest that it is best to keep them to a minimum - i wont go into the effects but for example they have been associated with various diseases, you can search the net re their safety or look in the British Medical Journal if you want to check it out further. Anyway i dont want to scare anyone all i am saying is that i would look for a Natural Based Solution. There is a massive difference with putting a bit of makeup onto your face which may have parabens in and having your whole body sprayed with it, the harshing effect is from the alcohol content - if you do tanning you will know that DHA needs to get onto the skin by some method, some products deliver it in an alcohol base some in other bases, if it uses an alcohol base this is similar to spraying a perfume all over the body - which in my opinion is not what clients want - thats why i suggested an aloe base. hope this clarifies for you.
