When using coverage powders if it was applied too thick could this make the colour appear wrong or un natural? I know I sometimes I apply it a little too thick and i'm wondering if this is the reason I can't seem to get a good match to the skin tone? I find if I apply it thinner I don't get the full coverage though!

Thanks

yes sure.

well, it obviously depends on the pink you're using, but it can.

i usually apply a thin layer of opaque, and then mix different pinks to give the nail a more natural look.

an opaque doesn't need to be applied thick, so enjoy ;)

It is not a matter of thick or thin .. it is a matter of choosing the powder with the right tone for the skin. Get that right and the coverage thickness should be the normal thickness that you would do for any nail enhancement.

Watch the CND custom Blend video done superbly by Roxanne Valanoti. It is perfection. She already has her sample colours mixed and applied to colour pops and then choosing the right colour tone is a breeze! If in doubt go for neutral if using the superb CND opaque powders.

I was wondering this too,
I found I was applying the coverage powder, then the white...then building my shape with clear.
Then found out the other day another geek just does the coverage powder and the white...no clear !
And I thought omg how much time must I be wasting lol,
I am yet to try it this way though....

I must watch those video's again !
