Hi guys, i need a bit of advice here i done a clients nails this day last week and she just texted me there to see if i can do a clean up on her nails, i wasnt sure what she meant so i asked her and she said a few of them are cracking on her, should i charge for repairing them or is a week too soon??? she is a nailbiter and she was really happy with them last week!!

well first things first...

You need to find out what cracking this is?
Is it sidewall to sidewall
z1 to z3
or the free edge breaking off?
Did she do something heavy handed or maybe you applied to thin?

But being a nail biter chances are she got at them

Then you can decide what to do or charge :)

yeh will have to wait and see the nails tomorrow, i dont think i applied too thin, i really took my time doin them as her nails were so short, i know she works in a hotel but not sure in what department so id imagine she uses her hands a lot :) im mobile so i have to go to her house which is a 15 min drive, do u think i should charge something anyway to cover my petrol?

i dont think it should be a free treatment.
nailbiters usually need maintenance on their nails before a regular client does anyway because their own nails grow faster and because they find them more difficult to get used to because they havent ever had nails in their life. things will settle down after the first few weeks.

did she give you any indication that she was dissatisfied or expected you to fix them for free?
she probably just wants them sorting so shes not tempted to bite them all off and be back to square 1.

well went to fix them and there was one or two that was peeling from z3 and they had grown down quite a bit in a week, so i just done her refills for her, she was delighted with them!! even gave me a tip :)
