Has anyone ever had this treatment?

I suffer with tensions headaches/migraines all the time. I have been to the doctors god knows how many times and they just want to pump me full of pills which I refuse to take. I eventually got referred to the neurologist for a brain scan which ,thank god, came back fine.

So I have been researching cranial manipulation as I here it can cure head aches. I have an appointment booked for next week but I am worried as I haven't heard of anyone having this before and am really worried it will go wrong and make them worse.
I know these guys have to go through a hell of a lot of training to do this,so am probably worrying about nothing. They have good reviews from what I can see.
I think I just need someone to put my mind at rest :irked: xxx

My friend's daughter used to have cranial manipulation. I can't remember what for (it was several years ago when she was very young) but it definitely worker for her.
When I started going to see my chiropractor, she told me that if she couldn't help with my severe frequent headaches, I may be better seeing someone who does cranial manipulation. To be perfectly honest, I would have had no hesitation going as my headaches were so bad. As it turned out the chiro did help me, along with occasional massages.

They do years of rigorous training to qualify, as well as having to do ongoing training to keep up to standard. See if you can find someone who's recommended to you, that's always better than just picking someone off the internet or out of the phone book. If you do go and find it doesn't help, I'd suggest seeing a McTimoney Chiropractor - that definitely helped me. I hope you find a solution, I know how horrible it can be.

My son missed a lot of time off school when he was younger due to severe headaches, so much so that I was getting calls from social services, we tried everything, including a brain scan, in the end someone reccomended a cranial osteopath and after one visit he was feeling loads better, seems he had received a bump on the head which was putting pressure on his skull, after a couple of sessions he was fine. def worth a try:)
