hi me again while im on here thought id ask if i can use this primer with ezflow as i dont like using acid based one which ezflow is and im using nsi acid free primer at mo but still having a little lifting problems so thought i change primer and see if that makes a difference xx

If you are still training then it's best to master the products you are training in before chopping and changing things. It is not good to muck around with the science behind the products as you dont know what the consequences will be. If you are still training then your lifting problems will most likely be down to the prep work.

hi i think my prep is fine just done ezflow conversion course but i really dont like using acid based primer so thought i could use creative as it acid free and i only have a little lifting on some of my friends its not on all of their nails big improvement from a few months ago when was getting alot so must be getting better with all the practise im doing xx

If you dont like using a primer then why not try your product without it to see if it holds up. Alternatively find and use a product which does not need a primer.

i use hd ezflow which doesnt use primer but was told to use one on people that are prone to lift so need one for them xx

What have you got against using the Acid Primer that goes with your system??
Does the word acid bother you?
Ever heard of acid perms??
There is nothing wrong with acid primer you just need to use it with the same care you would any other primer (IOW it should not come into contact with the skin only the nail plate).
There seems to be allot of ignorance regarding primers just at the minute and I can only think it is some companies that are scaring people off using acid primer for their own purposes.
Use the primer that goes with your system for the BEST results.

Start mixing products that are not recommended for your system and your insurance goes out the window too, folks!!

If your prep is not perfect, then no primer will help you and if you are getting lifting then it is your prep or your technique.

Who are all these lift prone clients anyway?? I don't use any primer and I don't have lift prone clients!!
I never see all these oily nail plates that people blame their lifting on either .
Funny that after 25 years I haven't personally run across all these thousands of people who have these 'common problems'.

It seems to be all the new nail techs who find all these people!

 Has the light gone on yet??

It takes time, time, time & practice to get your ratio right, once you have got that right you are flying.

I changed products, thought it would make a difference, maybe it did, maybe it didnt....

Im back to the original products i trained with and it has all clicked into place, most lifting is to do with prep or technique, only to be expected when training i think.

I started out in May and have only recently cracked the ratio and the nails are getting better all the time.

Ps: I dont use any primer.

HTH's some newbies xx

Hi,
Tbh, id of thought it would of been alot easier and safer to use the primer that goes with the system you are using.
As Geeg has said if used properly then acid primer is safe to use, i used to be a bit unsure about acid primers but i bought Doug Schoons book called Nail structure and Poduct Chemistry , there is a section in there about primers that makes very good reading and it totally put my mind at rest. The whole book actually is fantastic reading, and if you havnt got it already i would defo get it ! :)

I use Ezflow products and i can say that none of my clients have any issues/problems with the acid primer and if i want or need to use a primerless system i just use Ezflows HD range.
Haze x

Good advice, if you are not sure then do some research on acid primers or speak to your educators about it - or both. If its in your system then I assume you have been trained how to use your primer safely. Whatever you do don't go mixing brands because it won't help. x
