I have never heard of this, I've had a look at the youtube video from CND but I cant understand why you would do this, can someone exactly what it is and why and when you have this done.

Sorry if me being stoooopid

Well, some technicians would tell you that you would use this application for almost every set of enhancemennts!

You would use a custom colour blend to elongate the nail bed OR to disguise problem nail plates OR to give a better colour blend to suit the skin tone.

Custom blend opaque powders are one of the best things to be developed for the nail technician in YEARS.

It is my MOST ASKED for service.

Not only can you make the perfect nails for everyone, but the best thing is, you don't see any regrowth of the natural nail, so you can do less French Rebalances (which most of us find tedious because of all the filing involved in preparation).

Clients love the look of those LONG sleek nail beds and won't have anything else once they have seen them.

well i did a set of these on my daughter just 2 days ago - she usually has long white tips:eek: . She huffed moaned and puffed but i said she had to let me practise seeing as she has her nails for free! Well, her friends just love the sleeker look - she's very popular -have a newbie booked in for a set tomorrow!

I would love to get more practice in doing these on 'live' models instead of my own poor little fingers and nail tips but my daughter flatly refuses to have enhancements now. She had them for me while doing my foundation and then wanted them removing.. now there's no convincing her at all.

I am considering the possibility of converting to CND because of their new range of custom powders as I find the NSI pink masque just too pink and plastic looking. I just know that when I start getting more clients there are going to be so many opportunities to use this techniques with clients with short nail beds I really need to get better at it.

I use CND opaque powders and they are great... nail bitters LOVE the finished product....
I also like the fact that there are less "white" tip rebalances as you don't need to touch the white free edge at every rebalance.
CND is a great range if you are thinking of changing
