Hi guys,
S2 have just phoned me to say that an order for D Sperse that I placed is out of stock. I have a client booked in for next week and I was hoping to be able to do shellac on her. I have everything else but not D Sperse. I know that this is specifically for Shellac and Brisa, but wondered if another product would work in case I don't receive this before then?

Hi, same with me as well. My Dsperse was missing when I got my package this morning. Spoke to S2 and was advised to use cool blue instead. It should be back in stock next week though but just in case you don't receive it in time for your clients appointment, use cool blue. Good luck.

Thanks for that, i was just going to give them another ring to see if it was the size that I ordered that was out of stock. Cool Blue it is then:D

Sorry about that - we are having the formula enhanced for Shellac usage. That new formula is in production as we speak so we should be with us next week. In the interim, Cool Blue is a good stand by!

Ok, this might sound really off the wall, but...... I've had my order sent to my home in the UK as it's not available here yet. It's getting shipped over next week. Now here everyone uses "lemon cologne" for everything!!! It is basically lemon scented alcohol (not drinkable, lol) would that be suitable to use?

Try it and see is all I can say. Some times perfumes etc may cause dulling .. you sure don't want to dull the mirror shine of Shellac ... you'll just have to try it, or buy some IPA from somewhere.

Thanks Geeg, I shall give it a try!

NAS from OPI is Isopropol Alcohol not acetone so that would do the same job......

I placed an order yesterday, ordered d sperse and wasn't told it was out of stock. I haven't had a phone call to say I won't be getting it with my other items, though.

That's because we screwed up the d.Sperse stock take. No one transferred out all of the bottles we gave away at The Event :(

I have been told that you can use anything with alcohol in ( no vodka though) Am I correct in saying that I can use NSI cleanse if I have no d.sperse at the moment. This is what I use when I wipe off the tacky layer with NSI balance gel. Abi

Check on the back Hun I can't remember if cleanse contains any solvents it's been donkeys years since I used NSI lol. You can also use cuticle oil to remove tacky residue with a pad.

Surgical spirit will do it too cause that's 70-90% IPA depending on manufacturer.

Cool blue is the way to go.

;)

i shellacked my nails last week as soon as the kit arrived then as the top coat was drying i thought bugger what do i remove the sticky layer with?!
i rang sweet squared and she told me not to use the scrubfresh but to use something alcohol based hmmmm so i started looking i really didnt want to use my bottle of rum lol so i the only other thing i had that was alcohol based was the pre-wax cleanser!
it seems to have worked ok, they r still shiney nearly a week on...

CND do not recommend the use of cuticle oil to remove the inhibition layer of any gel ... the reason is that oil spreads and it can spread the dispersion layer onto the skin which is an overexposure issue.

Even with alcohol, it is imortant that you make sure to not spread the inhibition layer onto the skin by rubbing back and forth with the pad. Just place the pad on the nail and wipe ONCE toward you. Move the pad and use a different area of it to do the same and so on until all 10 nails are clean and shiny.

Ha, that makes sense! CND back home tells you to use cuticle oil if you don't have anything else to hand as an emergency! Why haven't I thought about the spread to the skin? Sometimes I feel stupid;) lol

You are anything but stupid my friend  ... just wanted to make it clear that use of oil is not CND teaching but I'm afraid someone's opinion. Damn those opinions!! :D How dare people have them? :D

Recieved my shellac order today and want to try it out, however, Sweet Squared had sold out of d sperse.

I'm really keen to have a try, what can I use in the meantime until I get some d sperse that won't take away the shine?

thank you,
Christine

Cool blue works,

and isopropyl alcohol :)

Cool blue works,

Cool blue.....really? I'd never thought.
Just had a try with some other brand and totally removed the shine.

Are you just wiping it over each nail, ie one squirt on a lint free wipe for 5 fingers?
