hi everyone

i am just wondering what and how i can get my client record cards back as my landlord has taken hem them from me without my or my clients permission?any information or advice would be appreciated.thanks

Why did he/she do this?????

You can most definitely get them back legally - seek some free legal advise from your local cab (citizens advice bureau) - They are private and confidential work documents and nobody else should be able to have them but you!

Actually, your landlord is probably breaking the law under the Data Protection Act too! In which case, they'd actually be committing a criminal offence! It'd be worth checking the text of the Data Protection Act to see if this was indeed the case - if so then you could probably call the police on them! Actually, you probably can anyway, as they have committed theft by stealing your client record cards...

When my therapist stole client record cards, the police were not interested, and told me it was a civil matter.

Your landlord was not right in taking them but it is your responsibility to keep them in a safe place where they cannot be seen by inappropriate people.

Why did he take them?
