Hi guys A freind of mine has suggested asking companies & shops to take price lists to put in there staff rooms/notice boards with a ref code for a 10% discount for staff. I think this sounds like a good idea to get customers but was thinking should I offer it for 1st treatments till 2011 or for a year or forever or just on certain days?
I am still not making anywhere near enough to live off and just want to get out of this rut!
My friend has kinda given me the kick up the bum I needed though but just wanted to run this past some geeks :D
I have an offer on my tan just now also, Tan is £20, but for May & June offering it for £15, and each time a client has a tan is these months will get a £5 discount for tan in July & August.
I was wondering If I should run another promo I have been thinking about. Have a page on Facebook & thought of doing a "if 10 people book a tan from this page this week 1 will recieve their tan free! pick name at random type thing. As thought this might encourage people to get friends to join & book a tan:D
Any advice is most apprecitated xx

hiya!
wow i love the idea of doing the comp on facebook. however, you may find that lots of people book in, but when you announce who is getting it for free, the others might cancel. hope that made sence.

as for the companies staff, i think this is a fab idea. i know a lot off people who have done the same and it has worked very well. i would only do it for certain days though - prehaps the days which you feel are quieter at the moment!

hope this all helps and good `luck xx

Competitions on facebook can work extremely well if done correctly. One option you could try is to get those interested in winning a spray tan to leave a comment under your post.

Pick a winner out of those & offer the others a deal ie £15 instead of your usual £20, OR 2 tans for £30. It's still £15 a tan but you're either going to get 2 clients in or 1 person in twice.

Blue Rose, I hope you don't mind me suggesting this, but Sarah you should join Blue Roses FB page, as she has some great comps which I'm sure she wouldn't mind you borrowing. xxx

No, I don't mind helping out fellow geeks. My comp ideas were tweaked from other fan pages in other parts of the world anyway.
