Does anyone do hollywood toes and is it popular???

Did you learn with NSI???

How much do you charge for a set of toes please?

I really want to do this course so any feedback would be great

I do..I charge £25...its just a NNO (natural nail overlay) on toe nails....just make sure prep is thourough..nails are short and overlay is applied thinly...no building apex's.

Its VERY popular....takes about 30 mins...no-one ever seems to come back for infills....they just grow them out as they cut their nails and have it redone as and when....even if there is any gel left on it files off in secs cos its applied thinly.

prep
primer (if your system uses one)
bonder layer gel
white gel
top gloss

Hi Guys and Gals,

Can I just check about training and insurance. My friend is offering this as a service but has not had official training or a certificate in this. Should she be offering this and will her insurane cover her?

I done gels on myself before but have never offered them as a service as I thought I would need accreditation.

if it is offered as a service she shuold be qualified as her insurance is prob void.... imagine if something happened doing that service ..... not good :( but its ery popluar in summer a quick treatment with good return i charge £20 as that is about right for my area :)

If she is qualified it doing L&P or gel, and pedicure, than I would of thought she would be okay, I dont think you need a cert to do L&p or gel on toes if you already hold a cert for hands, athough I do think a pedicure cert would be a must. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

all your doing is applying product on nails.....that can be finger nails or toe nails....you don't need a separate cert...nails are nails where they are on hands or feet.

many people who do mani ans nails are perfoming feet treatment yet there are diffrences and why would there trainiing offered in a service if anyone can do it ?? feet are more sensitive and nails are filed diffrent i would reccomed traing and just check with her insurance .... ??

i do quite a lot of toes.
i charge £25.
i prefer to use soak off gels for toes especially for wearing in the winter as the very flexible nature of the gel wears very well in closed shoes.

I thought so, it would kind of be like saying, you need a cert to apply minx or varnish on fingers and one for toes ( even though you dont need either ha ha)

just rambling now xxx

sorry I was wandering in what way, that would be a detremental effect would you file toenails diffrently to fingernails??? I treat both the same and was taught that way,, was just wandering  xxx

You do NOT need additional training to apply l&P/gel or enamel on toe nails....if you WANT to get some thats fine...but its not necessary.

hi yeah i trained with nsi and love doing them they so easy to do and my toes also look fab so much so my fiance comments on them regualrly:eek: i charge £20 at moment just because i was new at them and mobile

toe nails are filed straight across, not rounded off as to not cause any ingrowing toe nails as nails on fingers can be rounded they can not be on toes ,

Hiya!!! I do Hollywood toes, in natural, colours, crushed shells, glitters etc. I trained with NSI and they are a big money spinner!! My clients love them!! They last for 4-6 weeks, people will come back for you to remove them so that they can have new ones.
I trained with NSI and i received a Hollywood toes certificate once i had passed..
I charge £20 for natural, £25 for colour and glitters!
Go for it you'll love it!!!

I generally trim toenails straight across (if needed) when comes to filing I gently remove corners. Obviously they do not get rounded like fingernails as this would not be pleasing to the eye. I do lovely NNO on toes and have not been on a course specifically for toe enhancments. I can rebuild a damaged toe and extend nail beds, I generally just have a go and have done lots of practising. I agree with bagpuss if you feel you need to do a course then go for it, but dosent mean you are not qualified to do them so long as you hold a cert for L&P and/or gel.

The way you apply the product is different in that you don't build a apex....you keep the NNO (natural nail overlay...same as finger NNO's) thin....becouse they don't carry boxes and do household chores......so they don't need the extra strength...also because there is no length to support.

But i didn't learn this in a class...some of it was common sense and some where what i just picked up as i went along and read on this site.....like alot of other things.

Like i said...if you think you will benefit from a course then go for it.

How much does this NSI course cost? I would love yo do it xx

So just for the record

If you are qualified in maincure, pedicure and acrylic and gel on hands you dont need to do seperate training to apply to toes???????????????????????????????
Sorry confused?

NO hun you dont, xx
