Hello, I have done creative foundation course and gel course also manicure/pedicure, i have never done any beauty courses, would like to go for masters courses eventually after more experience. Is it beneficial for me to do a nail services course nvq at my local college, or would it be sufficient for me to just carry on with the creative path?
Would welcome advice from all you experienced techs!:):)

I would put NVQ in the search area at the top of the page, this will give you lots of advise,
i didn't think we needed to do it if taught by creative, i would have thought creative training is far more intense and informative than a NVQ, especially if we do masters and on going training and fingers crossed grand masters one day but that is just my view
most of the NVQ units are taken from creative training any way

I dont know why but i feel kind of inferior because i havent been to college full time , but i think the masters looks more specific and specialist, looking to go all the way! A college course isnt practical for me anyway, i have three young children, i need intense course to get my teeth into! Thanks for advice , good luck for your grand master qualification!:)

I have never been to college,
only creative for my nail training,
thanks for the good luck hun but i need to do my masters yet,
hopefully sometime later this year, just need to save up the other half of the money,
doing a competition training class next month with creative so that should be fun

can i ask how much the foundation course costsx

Having done both my Creative masters and my NVQ, I would say do the Creative masters as it is respected so much more and will open more doors for you and take you to a higher level in nails.

Good luck!

having done a VTCT at college and then a Creative course I rate the Creative course best. I think it all depends on how good your local college is as far as NVQ or VTCT are concerned. I personally would just go for the Creative courses.
