hi everyone

had a regular customer call me today saying she has pierced a hole in her nail!!!

whilst she was doing DIY she managed to hit a nail in the middle of her nail bed.

how should i soak of the gel and tip?? she says her nail is very painful..

:)

I dont think you should be touching it at all. She needs to see a doctor, and if she wants anything doing by you she needs to get written consent from her doctor and pass that to you.

can you imagine how much pain she would be in when you dip that nail in acetone?????

eeeeekkkkkkkk
i agree get her to go to doctors first

I agree with Michelle, don't touch it at all hunny, let the doc deal with it.

I have a client, that last year shut her finger in the door of her car and she had to go to hospital and get 2 holes drilled in her nail to relieve the pressure. She wanted me to something with it as she had a wedding but I had to leave it alone, the l&p was on there for months (who says their nails just fall off )

It is fine now though.
hth

i agree with chelle hun, don't touch it, let it heel then ask her to get a consent form from her doctor to say you can treat it. :)

I also agree with chelle , i was taught this way.I also think you should tell her to see her doc first before you do anything.xx

Hi all

just thought i'd update you....

my client came in and i had a look..... it is very red and has bleed underneath and is now weeping!!!! ew ew ew

i told her that she should see a doc and get some anti biotics as it looks like it is infected.

she has seen the doc this afternoon he has given her antibiotics. she is not best pleased that i wouldn't get the tip off or replace it....

anyway...... she is coming back to me once her course of antibiotics is up.
should i follow the normal soak off procedure when she comes back in 2 weeks???

Hi,

As everyone has said, I would make sure you get written consent from her doctor first...sounds nasty! Good luck x:hug:x
