Hi all, this is how my whole hand practice card looks at the mo. I don't think they are good enough to pass yet but I'm determined and will keep going until I get there! Any help or advice would be great!
Thanks.

Sorry, hun, but this pic is really hard to critique because I can't figure out what I'm looking at. The pink and white tips, for example--did you sculpt those, or is that just what the nail tips look like?

These are perfectly good enough to pass the EN course. You've done them well.

I think you have done really well also. They are alot better than mine were and i passed with a credit. xx

They look a lot better than mine too (mine was gel) one thing i remember brought my grades a bit down was having "peelies" under the nails, from filing the tips... Let us know your grades :) Good Luck!

Well done hun they are looking good
Keep going the more you can do the better xxxx

Thank you all sooo much!! :) I haven't sent them off to be marked yet as I didn't think they were good enough to pass.

I did post 10 nails to Sarah at EN for some feedback. I was going to see what she says I need to improve on and then just keep practising but I'm feeling much more confident now so maybe I'll send the card off sooner than I had planned!

Thanks again for your positive comments!

Just out of interest ... what did you think was not good enough about these nails ... or are you just being a little coy?? As I am a very accomplished and experienced assessor, I would like to know your analysis and how it differs to mine!

A few of them have tiny bubbles in the acrylic so I was going to replace those ones. Other than that I'm just not 100% happy with the shape of them all, not consistant enough. Some are slightly thicker in the apex than others and I'm a bit heavy handed down the right hand side, the product ends up thicker than the left side so needs extra filing.

Bubbles can be got rid of and every nail tech is a little heavier on one side than the other, which can also be corrected with better brush work.

Nothing wrong with being ultra picky .. that is what makes a good technician but I can guarantee you that these nails will get a pass and a good one just as they are from EN.

Now you have the challenge of doing as well on real people and with more than likely a different product. I'll look forward to seeing those when the time comes.

Thanks Geeg, you have made my day :green::hug:

I am a complete perfectionist when it comes to nails! I have done some 'real' nails but none recently, although I will be doing my friends nails soon so I'll post some pics and see what you think.

Totally agree with Geeg, these are brilliant and really good to get assessed by EN. You'll do really well. Get them finished and sent off. Good luck!

P.S make sure your first card you had to complete is done just as good. That's where I got marked down.

I wish mine looked like yours when I did mine, I got a credit so you could very well get a better score. Go for it! then look forward to your next course. Go for in class course if you can as you will progress even more. I cant wait to see your next set. I really like your work. good for you!!

Thanks everyone! My first card was sent off and marked a while ago, I got 17/20.
I sent this one (and my maintenance course work) off on the 14th so I'm now waiting for my results, fingers crossed! I've now started on the airbrushing course which is great fun.

I passed with distinction (acrylic and maintenance)!!!!!!!!!

well done ! you deserved it they were brilliant nails ! i found my old card from when i did my first creative course and they were terrible , lol yours were way better !!! xxx

Thanks Dee. I'm soooo happy.

That's brilliant news. Well done! I knew you would pass with flying colours.
