hi girlies,

on firday i did a training course to do lashes and i definatly do NOT feel confident doing this on a paying customer...in fact not even a friend.
I did the course with xxxxxx xxxxxxx and you got a starter kit from xxxxxxxxx xxxxxx. I am since hearing that the kit i have is not enough to start professionally as I only have j curl lashes and should have more?
can anybody help me - I know the theory behind it all but have trouble FInding an appropriate size lash and would like some help or tips.
I really want to start this asap but feel i need help but cant afford to do training with another company.
Am hoping that after a few practises I will be ok or do you think i will need training again by a better company?

I would urge you to phone xxxxx there to discuss your concerns. She is very approachable and I am sure she will help you.

You will manage just fine with the J curls only to start off with as long as you have a few different lengths to work with,
you can use a heated lash curler to help shape the natural lash if it is straighter or curlier than the extensions you are working with,
you will never find your confidence with this treatment unless you practise,
find a good mate who is happy to let you practise on her or your mum maybe,
see how you feel after practising a few sets before deciding on spending more money on training, it may all click into place for you and save you some money,
i teach lashes so feel free to send me a PM with questions on areas you feel you are struggling with, hth

I suggest you call the head office of the company you trained with and talk through your concerns with them.

What length and thickness are the Js you have?

When I started I started with the Js. I like to set my bones with the 0.2 diameter and go from corner of nose 8mm- 12mm - 10mm and then fill in with 0.15 in 9mm and 11mm. This will create a nice dome or natural lash. I would stick to getting down a natural look before I started the glam look. On your next order try some B curls and some Cs. I like to mix the Bs and Cs as it seems to create more of a 'fluffy' look. Work with what you have and then slowly build up your inventory.
