Got my order from fake bake. noticed a couple of things weren't there but they weren't that important so thought i'd just order them in my next order. they told me it would be £191 but when i got my invoice it was £179

just checked my bank account and they've charged me the £191 so i'll be on the phone to them tomorrow grrr

theres nothing on the invoice to say the order will come in 2 parts

They are a pain in the butt. Nothing but hassle this company! I really hope you get it sorted in one phone call sweetie xxx

same thing happened to me with my opening order.......not a good first order i have to say. i live in spain, explained this to them and that i wanted to carry it back with me. day before i left the order arrived, in one big heavy box whilst i was on the course......i presumed it was all there considering how big and heavy the thing was.....got back to my aunts house in london.......opened it to check it.......way over half the stuff i had ordered was not there.....no note to say why, or when it would be there....etc etc.....

i phoned them up, they was like 'oooh yeah the stuff thats missing was out of stock (!!!!!).......you should be expecting it shortly.....'

from looking on salongeek about fake bake stuff, ive come to learn that this is normal practise with them and we might just have to deal with it.....

How many threads are there about poor (or in my view appauling) customer service from this company? And they never seem to be keen to resolve the matter!

I agree. I always try to inform the newbies wanting to go with Fake Bake, what this company is like. It's not just the customer service that is the problem either. The solution in my opinion is not very good. They only have a light and dark and half the time the dark is not dark enough for some people. For some strange reason a lot of peoples legs just don't tan! I do like the exfoliator though. It smells lovely!
Guess this is why it's not as popular as it once was xxx

I've never dealt with Fake Bake direct. I've always got my solution from Sunquest and i know Aston and Fincher supply it as well.
I am just using my last bit of solution up and changing it to LA Tan instead.
I've never actually liked the solution but because it was requested i stocked it but i have converted all my Fake Bake clients over to Nouvatan which is the other company i deal with.
Strange you say about the legs Kylie-i did have one client where it didn't take on her legs.

I actually gave up!!
The company owes me either a good few hundred quid, or the stock and equipment that I ordered and paid for.I got totally cheesed off at chasing and gave up. Lesson well and truly learned!

I get all mine from spraytansupermarket.com and I must say they are fantastic, really flexible with the specials they have on lettin me adapt to the % that I want, delivery costs are alright and always really really quick. happy days

I think its a shame when you get people requesting a solution because of the 'name' when in actual factall they should be concerned with is the outcome of their tan. When I first started out with tanning I had a friend call me saying she had some friends who wanted tans, they said that as long as it was California Tan then they'd come to me...now in actual fact cal tan is one of my least favourite solutions so I was glad that I didn't bend to suit them....I just explained the brands I did carry and if that didn't suit then they would have to go else where! (nicely of course!)

you so right Jenny, when I started I was briefly tempted by some of the big names in tanning because they had such good marketing, but I stuck with the one that I had found best when I trialed them all and the customers all loved ...A-Tan... and I'm so glad I did, it's producing great results for me and with being the only person using it over here it's kind of given me a blank sheet to build from and I'm starting to get the buzz going about it

I have to use it at work and we have had so many problems. I sprayed my client in the darker solution and application looked fine. We were doing an offer and did a full body exfoliation before hand so she had showered and came back the next day. It had hardly tanned any where.
It's so annoying because it looks bad on me. I have never had one complaint from Sienna and I am now on my third pack of 100 thongs.
So we are hopefully going to change brands.

Kylie you love fake bake really! haha!

Never used them but from what ive heard their customer service is terrible and i hear nothing but complaints! Hope you get this sorted hun.
Thats why i also love couture because if you order before 1pm the order comes the next day always! And everything i ordered turns up with no missing bits and they always on other end of the phone, thats how it should be.
We are in business and we need our supplies and products!
xx

On the whole I've not had too many difficulties with them. Yes, they can be slow and ditsy at times, but mostly it's been ok. At the first hint of any bother I'm on the phone to my rep Michaela and she sorts it out right there and then.

I know plenty salons.....who have absolutely no problems with Fake Bake customer service.
OK they are all in Scotland where the Head Office is but even so I am starting to feel a little uncomfortable with this thread as Fake Bake really have no representation on here to give a reply to all this criticism.
Maybe it's just me who always thinks along the lines of fair play and that every story has at least 2 sides but I do think this thread is a bit one sided.
As I have said quite often on here it you have a gripe with a company then make sure that company knows about it, and at least give them the opportunity to deal with it.
Putting things on back order is never good, but at least you don't get charged for the postage when the unavailable items are finally sent to you.

I have highlighted Violet Stars last comment because I agree with it...BUT we also need to be responsible Salon owners/mobiles to order our new stock in advance and not leave ourselves so short that a 4-5 day delivery may leave us high and dry!!!!!

No offence to you hun but the Fake Bake guys could all sign up on here and defend themselves but that aint gonna change the fact that they are a useless company. I have lost count of how many times geeks on here have moaned about them. Surely they have all complained in some way or another and the service still remains the same. Fake Bakes customer service remains the way it does because they don't care. There are so many companies out there willing to give great customer service. Why settle for second best? I haven't got time neither can I be bothered to be dealing with more problems, let alone give them my hard earned cash!
Name and shame these companies I say and praise the ones that care enough to make an effort and here is the best place to do it.

The issues with Fake Bake seem to have been going on for too long - I would find it hard to see how they could justify the problems people have. Though I'm sure we would all like to hear and see the issues resolved.
