Does anyone know what the origional fake bake sol is comparable to in % eg vani t 8%/ tantrick etc

To be honest its a good product, its been out far longer than many and it's stood the test of time. The problem is on this forum you sometimes get replies from Owners, Reps, Trainers so you can understand why they recommend their product. mmmm

Ignore diplomatic views saying try many ours is good too....

Yes its a good product, look at the way they crowd round the stand at Excel!

I would say it's similar to a 10%.
I personally don't like Fake Bake. I'm not a supplier or anything, just a customer and i have used Fake Bake in the past.
I only got it because my clients asked for it, but they only asked because it was a big name and they had heard of it. Most weren't impressed so i use another brand now.
It only comes in original and darker and i would say they are similar to a 10 and 12%.
Try lots before you decide. Just because something is from a well-known company or well advertised it doesn't mean it's the best-trust me!!

I have never been a fake bake tan and totally agree with what Angelina has said re "PR and branding", just because a brand shouts from the rooftops "I AM THE BEST" doesn't mean that it is so.

And ...... having watched that Alex guy fake baking himself on big brother well that just reinforces what I have always thought about fake bake/

LOL @ joe90...too true. what is he like?!?!
Purely as someone who gets tans done...i don't like fake bake. apart from the fact you are grotty looking as soon as youve had it done and it stinks (cream not spray, im not sure about the spray)

I am a hairdresser and I guess its a bit like GHDs...there are a ot of irons out now just as good but GHDs are marketed so well...

But back to the point in hand, I heard the Orignal Fake Bake is 10%. :D

I would say FB original is 8% and the dark a 10%. I absolutely love Fake Bake, I've tried a lot of others. and have liked some and some I haven't, but the PR and the way it wins awards help me so much in getting customers that I don't care it is because they've got the money to say there the best.... its free advertising for me at the end of the day!!!!

I have been using Couture which I was happy with but I did a Fake Bake day at college and liked it so I have ordered their spray tanning and original application starter packs, I cant wait for it to arrive!
The oil free moisturiser and the nice smelling exfoliator sold it for me!

Although we are a company, we totally agree with SusanEvian!
On the Fake bake matter, their marketing is excellent and their packaging is beautiful, which somewhere down the line you the customer pays for.
However, what really matters is the result on the skin. Most companies will get a sample to you, so you can decide for yourself.
I suppose the moral here is not to seduced by marketing, as not all that glitters is gold!!
