Fake bake spray tan

Hi girls,

I am after a bit of advice really. I have booked to go on the fake bake spray tan course at the end of the month. i already do the manual tan. I would like to buy a spray tan machine and booth. can anyone give me a any advice on machines etc and where to get them and also the booth.

Hi Cheryl,

I am not promoting but I would seriously talk to Colin on this site, he has all the knowledge and beleive it it is worth it, what he doesn't know about tanning is not worth knowing. I trained with STC company and purchased by initial package through them. I got the mini mist and pod, but just recently purchased a new gun. I think my gun never worked properly, but after having a long chat with Colin he explained lots of background info that you are never told. Give him a ring. Your find him alot on the Spray Tan answers. He distributes Tantrick up in scotland.

Hi i have the minimist pro bought from tantriks and its great, however i don't recommend it for mobile business, but they also do a mobile one which i guess is less heavy, i can't comment on how good it is because i have never used it but im sure someone has and they will soon tell you.

Thanks for your feedback girls, i will try and speak to Colin as i have never done spray before only fake bake manual. I love the product and the colour it gives and want to get it right on my clients, i work for myself and would quite like a mobile machine. i work 50 miles away from home as a beauty therapist but would liek to be able to go mobile where i live too. XX

I trained with Fake bake but I wouldn't buy the machine from them. I had alot off problems with mine returned it 3 times anmachined still didn't work so got a refund and bought else were. my friend on the course also had problems with her machine too. collin is the best in the tanning buisness. good luck with your training. xx

Found a place that does the training and kit for £495. Not sure about the kit though, it's a Babyliss Beach Bronzer spray machine. Have seen another machine, Iwata Airbrush and HVLP 700 Apolo. Can anyone give me any advice on these machines???

Cant speak for the Babyliss beach bronzer as only have a working knowledge of professional machines

The HVLP 700 then its also know as the "piggy" ..many therapist have this machine and are happy with it although it might be on the small side if your doing parties....I would personally recommend you spend a little more than this machine.

The HVLP T700(or whispermist by Apollo) on the other hand (if that's what you mean)is a mean peice of kit and well worth the money if you can get it for that price....which I suspect you cant????

Iwata airbrush is also a good product..which one are you looking at.

Of course airbrush and HVLP methods of application are completely different so make sure you are getting the right "type" of machine to suit your needs :hug:

Do you know of the maximist? Is this any good?

I think i won't go with the kit that they have offered in my training (Babyliss), as nobody seems to know much about it.

You really cant go wrong with either the T200 or if budget is tight the HV5008.
Both are low entry price points and these machines will work their socks off for you and are available through many dealers..have a good shop around.

Babylis is for home application by the public, not for professionals,
can probably be bought in argos,

the T200 is the dogs you know whats :lol: a great machine,
the maximist is ok too but i would give the
T200 10/10
maximist 7/10

i work with both machines when teaching and my favorite is the T200, hth :hug:

Hiya, had my training and found it really enjoyable. I've gone for the Iwata Silverjet machine as i found it easy to use and it's small and fits in my vanity case! xx
