I feel really silly asking this but......
When filing the finishing shape to the sides of the nail (profiles) is it better to file down from the centre or file up to the centre? Which is the correct way?
Thanks:o

It is your choice. It is not a case of a correct or an incorrect way.

I file UP from both sides to my centre design line as this way you are less likely to abrade the skin.

Some file up on one side and down on the other (this can lead to an unbalanced look and a different curve).

What ever you do, do it consistently to both sides.

I file up to center. I've found if i file from center to outer edge my nails tend to look flatter. By filing from outer to center i keep my sides looking sleeker. Is this making any sense??
