Ok so i done my first ever pedicure yesterday, which is actually much harder than it looks by the way!!!

Anyway just one qustion, my lady had really bad cracked heels, really really bad and whilst they looked much better, the cracked heels were still very visable.

My problem was that when I applied the marine mask (CND Marine pedi) the green mask was trapped in the cracked skin and as much as I washed her feet, even scrubbed with a brush it would not budge ... not a very good look really!!!

Anyway first question is - should I not have used the mask when the heels are badly cracked, if so what else can I use.

Secondly, is there anything extra i could have done to remove the cracks ... trust me I filed the heels and surrounding area till my arms burnt with pain!!!!! FYI I used one of the scholl callous removers (I call them cheese graters)

My other problem was applying nail polish, she wanted bright red and as this was my first attempt at applying polish ( I dont even do my own) well it wasn't the smoothest finish ... when I have my pedis done they make the applying of polish so simple ... will this just come with practice???

Sorry for long thread .... but thaks as always for adive/solutions etc ...

tracey ...

The following link is a wonderful treatment for cracked heels. Some of the geeks on this site have bought this into their salons. The results are fab. Very badly cracked heels may require a few pedis to correct, plus the client needs to be compliant between treatments in moisturizing their feet. However, 'Callus Peel' gives instant results and you can retail the Flexitol Heel Balm for clients to apply at home.

I too use Callus Peel in my salon with excellent results. I also retail the Flexitol heel balm which will sort out cracked heels within a matter of days.
For deep pigmented colours I use a precision detail brush and nailfresh to tidy up the edges.

Hi Mrs Clooney,

Where can I buy flexitol heel balm?

Thanks

Thanks Calla, I've had a look at this. So how much is the recommended retail price for the flexitol? And the other thing is where do you get your callus peel from? I spoke to Beauty select about 10 days ago and they didn't have any.
Thanks

I charge £5 for heel balm, but as I get it in bulk I get a better price than which you see on the site.
I get Callus Peel from Beauty Select on a very regular basis so I'm surprised they didn't have any - it's their main product!

Thanks will call beauty select again tomorrow. Also could you tell me how I can go about getting a good deal on the flexitol if I also want to buy in bulk?
Cheers and sorry for all the questions.

Beauty Select who sell the Callus Peel also sell a foot moisturizer which I don't think is similar to Flexitol. This can be retailed too.

There are quite a few threads on here regarding callus peel so you might do well to do a search by typing in 'callus peel' and you can read peoples comments.

It also may be of interest to you that in my opinion, the foot file which is included in the callus peel product line is simply the best I have ever tried and I highly recommend it. It is a white plastic implement and does a fab job.

thanks, will consider that for future.

Has anyone else come accross this problem with the marine mask.., maybe it's not meant for use on really cracked skin??? Anyone any thoughts or is it just me that's experienced this???
