I did my first set of nails last night and i could scream.

This was for my sister inlaw, first of all she had been and had her nails done about six months ago and just from looking at her nails i knew they had used the dreaded mma so i wasnt happy with that.

Her nails was not in good shape but never mind, i was able to remove what was left on the nail, then it come to prep and the tips, she had the smallest nails ive seen for a 40yr old, they was so tiny.

I made the mistake of puting on two beads of acrylic and i should have done one thats how small they are. I found i had gone over the side's and i was so upset with this, i spent a while filing then i caught her skin and she bled oh i just couldnt believe it, she how ever took it so well and said it was fine not to worry.

But i felt i was falling apart. when i had finished she was delighted with them and told me not to get worked up about it, today i dont know if i can do this now, i did brilliant on my course i just dont know what went wrong. I just could scream arrrrrrrr.

dont worry, everyone feels like that at first. you will improve.

We have all been in your shoes at the beginning hun, and thought we couldn't or shouldn't be doing nails. Its all a learning curve, and you will get better with every set you do.
Your sister in law was happy with her nail, so that tells you something. Try not to stress about it, put it behind you and move on to the next client, it does get better...honest

Amen, sister! I have been doing nails for 10 years and I had a client on the weekend that I lost sleep over. She is a nail biter and she had less than 1/2 inch of nail on each finger. I have worked on nail biters before and never had a problem, but I have never, ever had so little to work with. I HATED her nails when I was finished, although she kept saying they were so pretty. After two sleepless nights, I called her on Monday and left a message because I want to take them off and just create a small nail bed for her until her nails can grow out a bit. I am so embarrased by the work that I don't want her telling anyone it was me that did them. I wanted to work on them further while she was there, but her husband was waiting in my driveway with her 2 year old son. This is the first client I have ever had that made me doubt my skill.

Thank you for all your encouraging words, i will just keep practicing and keep going and your right in time i'm sure i will get better, thank you again every one.
