Hi geeks,

I am noticing with my french manicures that sometimes the pink is going streaky when I apply it to the nail, I tried applying a second coat thinking it would even it out but it look worse!! Some nails are fine and some are streaky. Lucky I was practising on friends and family, not clients!!
Am i applying too much product? or too little? I spoke to a collegue at the salon I work at and she said the same happens to her sometimes when she does a french manicure this happens to her aswell. We use Orly polishes.

Thanks in advance for any replies!! xx

Hello!
I'd say you're not using enough polish. I do my french with one coat of pink and one coat of white. I think it wears better. If you want to cover the nail with one coat of polish, you have to use a lighter touch, like when you apply top coat. And you need enough polish to get an even coverage, but not too much, or it won't dry properly in time for you to do the white.

HTH's!

Jesse
