I have been practising my french polish this evening.
Its not going very well.
I can perfect the smile line using scrubfresg, but it does smudge base polish.
Without using nail fresh as I dont have this, is there a knack to getting this line perfect???
PLEASE HELP, ive got to do my partners mums nails for her holiday and I want them to look great!!!

I paint the white enamel on and tidy the smile line with scrubfresh, then I apply a base of sticky over the nail ( which I was told helps protect the white) then a coat of negligee(cnd polish) and then Super Shiney. My clients always find this lasts well. I also find that if they paint a coat of topcoat on the nail 3 days later this helps their polish last up to 2 weeks.Although they are able to keep their manicure for longer they come back because it lasts.

Yup totally agree,

Base coat over the French is the best thing to do! Works fine for me and lasts for ages x

I have to say that since I changed my white to Essie Marshmellow I haven't had any problems with my smile lines. Someone on here recommended it. It's a little softer and goes on beautifully in one stroke from left to right. The fact that it's not brilliant white helps as I feel a little more confident with it.

Did my first french in it in college for a summative assessment last night and my tutor said they were of professional standard :)

My first perfect french.... don't know if this helps or not but thought I'd share it just in case.
