when i do my french i make sure that the client has a few choices of pink, however most like the sugar daddy or hi maintnance with the marshmellow white (all essie - the only polish colors i use these days.)

when i do the french,n i do a base coat, then the pink over the nail up to the smileline, then do the white with a perfect smileline - like a reverse p/w sculpt, then do top coat over everything. i wait about 45 seconds between coats - where its just barely tacky before moving on to the next color or coat.
