Hi girls just a quick question, I got my pup 3 weeks ago. It's a male shih tzu. I just found out that someone gave back his brother to the breeder. My dad said he would buy him for me if I wanted him for a bit of company for my little guy. I rang the breeder and she kind of put me off saying there could be domination issues down the line and my pup is probably used to being spoilt and her kids are spoiling the eft over pup so they might not be used to sharing the spot light. Would I be nuts to even consider two?
You really can't say for sure although I would say have them both neutered as soon as you can, we had terrible problems with our mum and daughter but after spaying both and alot of patience and training they now live together fine (along with dad who is a typical male and hid when they kicked off!) I think males can live fine together if there is no dominance issues or female to fight over so it's really about how you train them. There really cannot be any 'spoling' as you need to remain the pack leader and treat them as dogs not children (children can fight too but don't have as sharp teeth!) there's also the added ties of having two with vet bills, food bills, getting someone to look after two if you go away, etc. if you're in any doubt just love and cherish the one you have and don't put any extra pressure on yourself
My three fur babies. First pic is Tito he is 9months old . Second pic is Minty he is 8years old . Third pic is Millie she is approx 4 ( we only got her late on last year as a rescue ) . The kitten likes to jump on the dogs back and ride around on her lol My oldest cat thinks he's a lion he's always growling and roaring lol . Millie dog is a high maintenance pooch that doesn't like dog food and point blank refuses to go outdoors if its raining or windy
aww they are all so cute!
these are my two babies dusty and daisy they are ragdoll cats and are brother and sister dusty is 4 and daisy is 3
