Im a very clean and tidy tech, have just started using gels but find that some, but not all, of the pots are leaking.

They seem to seep out of the tightly closed pot. Each time I go to use the gel I have to clean the outside, lid and all round the screw fitting.

I keep then upright at all times and just cant understand why this is happening - can any help?

I have found that once you have gel in the threads of the pot this goes on happening.

I use alcohol and start with the rim of the pot, then the threads, then the outside of the pot. Then clean inside the lid and the threads of the lid. You will use quite a lot of paper and alcohol.

I have found that the trick, once it is cleaned up is to never wipe your brush on the rim, try to pick up the correct amount of gel each time and if you have to wipe, do it on the inside of the pot. HTH

i'm always in a pickle with mine.
they were in a dreadful mess when i had to take them abroad recently.
they seem to respond badly to the change of pressure on a flight.

Thanks Adele, I'll give them a thoroughly good clean up. It doesnt happen with all of them so it makes sense what you say about not wiping the gel on the rim.

LOL at you Susan, I hate them being messy & sticky so I'll remember that if I take them away.

Me also :)

It seems as though the darker colors weep.
No matter what I do, they slightly ooze out and into the holding container.
This happens with all the brands I use.
I was thinking sudden change in temperature caused it.
I'ts cold now, and they are still for today, where they should be.
