Is it possible to have an artificial nail placed on the whole nail and have a gel overlay on the nail. This is because I have a fungal infected nail and I do not want the gel to harm the nail even more. I have been placing the nails (Kiss toenails) and painting over them and they work pretty good. I just want a professionally done french pedicure on my toes. Have you ever heard of this. Essentially it is put a tip on the whole nail and overlaying with the gel system.
Thanks for your feedback.

If you glue anything on the fungal infection it'll be harmfull. The fungal infection will grow as you protect the fungus form light, making a warm cozy nest for it
The gell overlay would not cause harm on a normal nail, but again trapping the fungus under the gel will, also if it's L&P. So seek medical attention for the fungus (You could try teatreeoil aswell) and don't put anything on it untill its gone.

The best advise I can give you is to go to see your Doctor/Podiatrist.
They will take a cutting from the infected nail and test it to ascertain exactly what it is, then prescribe your treatment.
Any nail technician would not perform a service on an infected nail - toes or fingers, as it is a 'Contra Indication'.
A fungal infection is contagious and needs treatment. You do not want to cover it up as said in the previous post.
The sooner you seek medical advise, the sooner it will be treated and cured.
Sorry it's not really what you wanted to hear, but it's the best course of action to take realistically.
You may be able to put a nail polish on it whilst it's growing out - but I'd check that with the Doctor first too.

try to find a professional using lcn wilde pedique products as i believe it has some sort of anti fungal properties and can be used to diguise your problem.

however i would seek medical advice and try to get treatment for the infection also.
