hi everone:)
I was just wondering what is the preferred system for toe nails, gel or l&p,
last year i tried both , but! couldn't make my mind up, which one.
What do you prefer?.thg:confused:

Probably be in the minority here.. but i have used both and prefer L&P..
not sure if we just find a system and love it.. but for me, nails.. fingers or toes get L&P enhancements.

Hi,
If anything I would use gel. Gel will be easier to maintain as its softer to file than l&p. I find that l&p is way too hard for toes!
Hth's
:)

i love L&P for fingers, but adore Gel for toes xxx

Gel toes for me too:)

i'll vote gel for toes.

is extra flexibility makes it a safer choice and prevents cracks if you knock them as well as damage to the toes thmselves. jmo

L&P is my preferred choice for fingernails, but gel for toes. It's a bit more flexible and more comfortable in shoes with toes in.

I am a liquid and powder girl ...but for toes i do prefer using gel....

thanks for your replies , i can see that gel would be more flexible for toenails, and also easier to maintain, cheers me dears:)thg

I would say gel too

a safer choice? damage? cracks?

seriously.. if a tech knows how to apply L&P to toes then all this is untrue IMO of course..

its not about building apex's and troweling it on with a shovel anyway.
Gel is lovely to use on toes i agree.. but L&P is also very good.. and imo (again) lasts longer, and when toes get knocked both gel and L&P are just as safe as long as the correct length of nail and application are followed.

I used to like gel more as I never thought I could get the hang of L&P but now I have I prefer it, L&P all the way for me. xxx

I do find a difference with using gel on the toes, but only if it's a soak off. Using L&P or file off gel, I often do kick my toes (ok I'm a clutz), & cause damage to both the enhancment & natural nail, nothing major just chips/cracks/breakages but it's never an issue using a soft gel.

Safer option may be a bit extreme, but the extra flexibilty really does makes a difference.

I almost always use a soak off gel now, just because that's what is suiting my clients, but I'd have a really hard time if I had to pick one or the other.

I love my L&P............I love my file off gel...............I love my soak off gel.

i meant safer as in trouble free rather than a 'your toes will drop off if you use l/p on them'
i have used both on myself and find that gel is a little harder wearing and causes me less problems on the whole.

oh and by the way i dont use a shovel.

hi everone! i only use l&p but would like 2 use gel. i think gel is a much better fin and look. so good news for me as i am going 2 train in gels very soon. also think gels are easyer 2 get off the toes as well i would think u would apply them thiner. :)

well no i never said you did (use a shovel) i was just pointing out that a thinner acrylic isnt going to cause damage..
As some one who uses L&P regular i constantly fight the gel myth so the "safer less damage" comment struck a nerve thats all..
this is all MY OPINION of course.. and as i said Gel definately has its place, but i prefer L&P to work with on fingers and toes..

hi
i've got a solution do alternate toes in l&p, and gel. didn't think of that i'm a genuis:lol:thg
