Gel polish nail art?

hi fellow techies,

I've been asked for nail art over gel polish, never done it before !

can you do normal nail art over it if so what is the procedure or is it done with gel in which case do you use normal art brushes ???

After I've cured my 2nd coat of colour I do my nail art either with varnish or gel using fine nail art brushes, dotting tool or striping brush depending on what I'm doing. Any gems I set in gel. Then do my final coat of finishing gel to seal. Unless someone wants to be able to remove it and in that instance I apply it after the finishing gel and seal with a normal top coat. Hope that helps.
