I have a client coming for removal of gel tips that she had applied on holiday.

She doesn't know what kind of gel was used - how should I go about removal?

What I woud do is start to file it off until there is a thin cover og gel left.
If it is soakable off gel you find it it peels while you are filing hths:D

I'd ask her how it was applied and how it was cured just to check it is gel as some nss give people they impression they are getting gel nails when infact they are not. Start with a new abrasive and work your way down. Sometimes when I am just left with the tip I soak these off x x

Thanks guys - thats great. I'll ask the question about the curing.

Is it acetone over warm water thats used for the soak off? Not used to gel - I've done more acrylic than gel - hence all the questions!

most gels dont soak off, you have to file it off.
but if it is a soak off gel, acetone will do it.
