hi hun ! im not a mobile tech or dont do spray tanning yet either so cant be much help , but think u mite get more response if u post this in the business section hun!

If u and your friend already are employed then u will still also both need to register as self employed , its really easy u just do it over the phone then they send u all the info . You wont prob earn that much the first year so tax wont be that bad either ! try the governments websites chick .

You can do loads of searches on here for this info and on the web.

Sorry to sound harsh but it seems like you want the rewards without the hard work!

Most of the geeks on here have spent time making their business plans, many of these questions you need to explore yourself in order to succeed.

This website is a good place to start, good luck

Vicky- Thanks for being cheery and wishing me go luck!!!

Weeze- Sorry but that was harsh for no reason!!! I thought salon geek was here for advice????
We're not just in it for rewards- its something were both interested in and very hard working (we both 21 and have 2 jobs each and want a sucessful career!!!!)
we only popped the questions on here as the internet can be a bit vague and not direct info for this specific industry where salon geek is the perfect place to ask for advice!

its only our first time using salon geek maybe we wont bother any more if we get this reply!!!!

Thanks anyway everyone

Im really disheartend now!!!

i say go and see business link there a great help and will give you a good start what to do next. defo do one of the inland revenue course there really good.

o i forgot t-shirt florence & roby & diamond design do some nice ones. you have to look into local salon and therapist to see what there charging. i think you will have to do your training with tantrick, the tantrick mini mist is great if your mobile. babtac or the guild or good for insurance

Well if you're that easily put off! Seriously I was actually offering you some good advise! I was not trying to be mean just realistic. Please re-read what I said! I wish you the best! Doing a search on the salon geek will give you all the specific answers you need you just have to look for them. At no point did I say give up or you can't do it! I'm sure you can.

In my defense I am not a ***tty response type of person!

I can't see what problem there was in Weezies post! advise can be asked on here but you do need to do a search for different things and you will be suprised what you will find out, a lot more than just asking the questions:hug:

Good luck with your new venture, I'm sure if you are determined you will do it:)

And have FUN doing it.

thank you Lau and Kelly,

Obviosuly i have done research else just thought i might get some help from the pros,

Thanks anyway will think twice before asking questions on here again!!!

Hey hun, I dont think weezie was saying this in a bad way.Maybe it's just the way it came across. This is a brill site and you will learn lots from other people.
I think what weezie was trying to say is it is hard to tell you what is the best for you.We can all advise you on certain things but until you have a look around you will not no what is best for yourself.
I am with a company called salon gold for mobile insurance which is a reasonable price. There are loads out there for you to enquire about.

The price to charge will depend on where you live. Personally for Tantrick I would charge £25 for a full body as it is a well known and liked product. I'm not sure if Tantrick have tops you can buy. If you message Collin on here he can help you with that. Or if you wanted a uniform maybe try la beebey. You could do your own diamonds. I know there was a geek on here that did her own and it looked FAB!
Hope this helps you hun and if you google some of the info i've just given you then that should help you even more.
Wishing you the best of luck huni

It is a big step to take from the security of employment into the world of self employment and the questions asked are relevant ones and ones which is why this site is here.

The search option top right of the screen offers a wealth of information as do posted questions such as this which not only assist the individual asking the question but many "lurkers" who log on and stay in the back ground.

There are many good spray tan companies out there and I would suggest you call as many as you can and ask as many questions as you can.

Training, set up costs, marketing material and ongoing sales support questions are all a good way of gaining confidence with a chosen brand.

If you are indeed looking to go to the Tantrick route then I would strongly advise that you contact our trainer nearest you who can give you any advice you wish...this is particularly relevant as the advice given by a "local" trainer will be more relevant to you I.E. what charge to make for a spray tan etc local to you.

Good luck with your new venture and do keep us posted as to how your business develops

Sorry if I made you feel bad, it was not my intension. I was trying to think how I could have phrased it better but I think it's all in the tone! My tone was gentle and a bit jokey but this doesn't come across well in print!

You will have fun investigating these things and there are so many different variations of answer but in the end you will decide what is best for your business and your clients.

Collin and his team will be able to help you lots.

I sometimes wish people could hear us on here lol.I thought it was just me with the tone thingy going on.It's hard to just write it for people to understand it in the way you intended it to sound!! xxx

It is very difficult when there is mearly written text to get over what is trying to be said as with this medium of communication facial expressions and tone of voice cannot be seen or heard...this plays such a major part when we ,as human beings, communicate.

Maybe Sam could incorporate a web cam option for geeks ...now that would be scary :eek:

Know it sounds a bit cheesy but how about

the spray team

Obviously emphasise on the 'a'

I like it, tells what they do, but is having a joke too. x
