BBC NEWS | Technology | Google's pictures of UK go live

Anyone's salon's in the citys that google's new street view? I noticed one of their picture cars going around the wolverhampton area last weekend!

If you don't know how to use it, just go onto google maps and zoom in and then just drap the little man icon onto a road...

Wowser! Impressive and seemless.

Mmmmm, exciting as it may be, it could also be a bit intrusive! Who knows who might be watching you?

I don't think there's too much to worry about as you would know more if you went outside the persons house in person! Number plates are fuzzed out and I think the pictures are quite old as the one of my flat has hanging baskets on the balcony and I removed them about 4 months ago. It could be quite handy for finding where you needed to get to if you had never visited before.

Now I'm not guilty of being with anyone, doing anything or being anywhere I shouldn't, but, you can actually see peoples faces and what they are doing.

You wouldn't wanna be pickin' your nose or snoggin' someone you shouldn't  and be caught in one of those pictures!

Somewhere along the line, I can just see something like this getting out of hand. Don't get me wrong, I think modern technology is great and I have to admit that I am fascinated, but soon there will be more and more of these cameras. I just think it could all get too much and adds to the 'Big Brother's watching you' type thing.

I can see google street being used for 1 thing:-

1-Is his/her car outside that bit..ches/bas..... house

Dont worry to much about this, google street is just a snap shot of time, it was a couple of fellas driving round every street in the 25 cities with 4 cameras planted to the roof of the car.

I know what you mean, if it was CCTV then I would be worried as then it could be used by criminals to see when you are home.
