Hi guys.
I received a new spray tan machine this morning. It has a heat function,
so I was wondering if the heat function on my machine is for spray tanning or just for using afterwards for drying? Can you spray tan with the heat function on? Hope I made sense. thanks

hi
i have a heat function on mine and i spray with it on so that by the time the heat is actually coming through the spray is finnished and client can dry in warmer air!! hth xx

Thats interesting I didnt even know that function exisited.....

Which machines are these?

Me too! Intrigued!! Please let us know:green::green:

Theres a heat function on every machine isnt there!?! Its just some have a button to click that says heat but they all have the same function .

Any machine with heat won't actually heat the solution itself, however you can remove the gun from the hose and use the hose to warm the client up or dry them off if they feel a little tacky.

strictly speaking kate there is no heater element in the machines that are very popular ie t100 t200 and the 5008 thats why i asked
the air is only warm when you remove the hose because it passes over the motor windings the turbine cools the motor and blows the warm air into the hose thats why the old t models burned out if the filter got blocked
It does sound like a gimmick to me ide love to get my hands on one its probabally a small heater coil like a hairdryer built into the unit but as you said they all have warm air/drying function any way and it definately cant heat the solution you need a hotpot for that and thats a total different system

I think its the pig machines that have this function

Oh I know theres no heat element but the natural heat from the motor does the same job as the machines that have heat functions. Neither of the machines (with or without the fancy heat button) makes a difference to the liquid being so darn cold bbbrrrrrrrr lol!

Thanks a lot guys. My old machine didn't have that function and it was cold air blowing, so it was really cold for the clients to have spray tan done. When I got the new one I didn't know wether the heat was just for drying clients off after the tan, or you can have it switched on the whole way through. I had it done on my self(the heat was on) and it felt much wormer compare to the old one I had.
My machine is called NATURA SUN HVLP VIP

I had a machine with a heat button.
The machine didn't work after 1 spray tan.

I was told by someone that this type machine was originally manufactured as a bubble machine for a spa bath - hence the need for a 'heat' button, so it didn't cool the water as it blew bubbles through it.

I have since bought a new machine, made for the job - without a heat button.

Oh no. Would you remember the name of the machine by any chance?

this is so true!! its actually a cheap babyliss bubble bath machine with a hose on it :irked:

I would love a heat blowing element on mine lol........

Would it be possible to engineer a machine with such? Are there any proper spray tan machines with this on?

believe it or not i have given this much thought :eek: i am one of natures great thinkers to much time on my hands lol
you cant have hot air running through a compressor/turbine no way no not ever !! and dha cant have a heated element in the bottle to warm the solution but maybe you could have a separate hair drier attached to your gun blowing hot air to dry your solution and warm your clients
i thought of this last year and designed a prototype on paper
posted it off to a major manufacturer and also sent the letter to myself so it was post marked and unopened to prove it was my idea :!:lol as yet no reply but if it comes out i will sue the butts off the manufacturer

I have the piggy machine and it has the heat function button. I have tried it when spraying and it doesn't make a blind bit of difference to the temperature of the solution when applying so I just don't bother using it. As said above if a client is cold and feeling a little tacky at the end I just remove the gun to warm them up or dry them off a bit. More for the clients comfort than anything else as the skin is usually dry already.
