I recently did Brisa Conversion Course... i am struggling to create the 'shape' of the nail with the gel... at the minute when i do gel, it looks quite flat with no shape... has anyone got any tips for me on how to perfect my technique?? Any help will be appreciated.. Thanks :)

Hi I am not qualified in Brisa, but it sounds like your not building your apex in zone 2.

If you go to www.cnd.com you can view their videos (you have to register on their website). Roxanne does a Brisa video that ROX...LOL! Anyway, she puts a bead of gel in zone 2 then lightly feathers it up to zone 3, then lightly feathers it down to zone 1, leaving the bulk of the product in zone 2. Watching the vid will explain it better.

HTH! :)

I have a quick tip for you - right before you cure the nails, have your client turn her hand over so the nails are facing the floor - this forces the product to "pool" a little bit at the apex. I am not a Brisa user, but this works wonderfully with INM and creates a beautiful apex without a lot of layering!

Hope this helps

Hi,I don't think that works with Brisa gels does it? Brisa doesn't seem to be a self leveing gel and I think it would have to be able to level my Ibd gel may be able to do that I'll try it someday.

It does work with Brisa, but you have to do one nail at a time, which is not really ideal.

I use a 'petit pois' sized scoop of gel in zone 2 and tease it out towards zones 1 and 3 (tip from Gigi in her Nailclass book) - this gives you the perfect apex. - HTH

You have to use quite a light touch with gel. When spreading from zone 2 to 3 or 1 don't press hard it'll flatten it out, it's the opposite to using l&p where you have to press it into the nail.
