Hi im usually a lurker :),as i hopefully start college in sept to train as a nail tech NVQ 2 .With all the extras ie makeup manicure pedi and on to NVQ 3 in second year all advanced with photographic nails and make up i believe in year two (going full time:)).

At least that's my Goal but god i hate this description i will be a mature student  ,so worried i wont get a place:irked:. Unfounded i know as iv spoke to the interviewer already who put my mind at ease that its interview basis not age lol that will get me a place.

Anyway i want to learn how to do semi permanent lash's before i start and spray tanning ,but I'm really unsure who to choose for training iv already contacted flirties for my area ,happy with price and contact and so on but i really want to make the best decision as although i can afford it. it is a lot of money to pay out So id welcome any advice re who is recommended for quality training etc

look forward to your replies

Hi honey,

Well welcome to Salon Geek. Im sure when you begin your training you will have lots of questions and will take an active role in debates and general chit chat.

You are wise to be thinking about additional courses, its great for your CPD to add to your skills you will be learning in FE college.

Make sure you research thoroughly, you need to look for accredited course, a great training product and reputation for good training.

Thanks for the reply xx

Has anyone got any info on courses ???. I thought it would be great to ask on here as i thought most of you would have prior knowledge on doing the training I'm interested in ?,

If not.. anyone got any info on where would be better to look

There's loads of info on this site about the trainers. If you do a search you'll see who trained with which company. I'm sure people won't mind you sending them a PM and asking them questions.

I chose Flirties. The training was great, I got a substantial kit and the customer service has been great too.

Hi, if you pm me I will send you details of our training. Lou x

Hi Louise
I've sent you a pm re the location in London of the training. Can you let me know details of prices, student/trainer ratios and assessment process please?
