Hi Guys,
So since my CND foundation course last week i have been practicing a lot on the nail trainer and am getting more and more confident. I am doing my friends nails next week she works in the navy and doesn't want the pink with white tips she just wants a natural look so would I use the pink all over or the clear? I am a little confused!!
Thanks
Sam

either will work fine, clear would just look like a coat of clear polish and the pink would just add a tiny hint of colour.
i personally prefer pink.

hi hun , well its a personel preference really i use i pink as i like the end result, but not an intense pink the opaque is a lovely choice. it reall is upto you i think if you are just starting out to and it does depend on how confident you are with your blending, the pink will cover your blending a bit better if you know what i mean :) im sure what eer you chose they will look good. have a practice on the trainer with both and see what you think :) x

Ah thank you so much pink it is then!! I take it you apply the same as with pink and white starting in Zone 1, then 2 & 3?
This place is soo helpful!! :)

yes, that will work fine.

i sometimes use only 2 balls when i do a single colour if the nail isnt very long, but just use whatever technique you are comfortable with.

start in zone 1 ??

start in zone 2 and taper into zone 1 and slightly into 3 then apply smaller bead in zone 3 to the cuticle ... thats how i learned with cnd anyway never to apply to zone 1 as the free edge would be a bit thick imo hun x

Thanks Moosey & Angelfingers- thats makes more sense, i will have a practice run on Polly before I do my friends!!

will be fine hun :)

Both ways work just fine .. I tend to use only one bead when doing a one colour overlay ... there are many ways. No right or wrong here so experiment a bit and find where you are comfortable and producing a nice pretty result. For the most natural look I would use the Perfect Pink and not the opaque as someone mentioned above. After all you want to see the natural free edge colour. (actually I think the poster just made a little mistake there).
