Help quick..computer advise

hi all, i need some help QUICK!!! my comp has been running slow lately so i decided to have a little look around, oh my goodness !!! i have 3 children all have there own bit on the comp ( not sure of the correct terminology ) i dont allow them to have passwords to use their sites, one of them has a lot of erm how can i say this PORN !!! on it, my question is how do i put a block on this sort of thing ? i downloaded something on my bit of the comp and thought this would cover the kids sites but all it did was to block me ! how do i get something to cover all of us ?

sorry if this is babble i in SHOCK !!!

Don't download avg 8.0 - I have nothing but problems and I've used AVG for years.
Try 'Avast'
Also, go 'right click' your icon for internet expolorer on your desktop, click the 'internet properties' , then 'Security' tab at the top, and check the setting, you should have it set a quite secure if you've kids on it.

Please tell me how AVG will stop anyone accessing porn on a PC? AVG provides Anti Virus and Spyware software.

Anyway ignore that advice, if I was you I would contact your ISP and get them to put a permanent block on the sites that are supplying it. That should be job done! Failing that, tweak your Firewall and that may do the trick, however it may also block a lot more.

hi all, thanks for your advice, i didnt download avg but i have looked at the security and reset to high. i think the oldest one know i'v sussed whats going on so hopfully it'll stop !!!

I don't know how long that took you but you have wasted your time there. The trouble with that kind of Software is it can easily be changed back again whereas contacting your ISP can block it forever.

On a serious note, I was on a chat room when i was younger and it allowed people to send you files which a supposed 16yr old boy was going to send me a picture of his new puppy and instead i was sent a rather older mans manhood. It made me feel sick and i soon stopped chatting on chat rooms.

lol! yuk, there not pretty at the best of times let alone an old one ! she's only 13 ! i think she going through that curious stage but when i was that age i just had to sort of guess or listen to others now it one click and whey hey there it is in front of you !

i once had to do nursery rhyme fancy dress for the kids, i typed in little boy blue for some ideas you dont wanna know what sort of ideas i got back from that !!!
