hi ya, i seem to be having really bad problems with my side walls, there crap in fact!! not with my z1, but z2,3. its almost like im wiping it off or not pushing it out enough, can anyone give me some advice on getting this right as its effecting my confidence badly, just when i think yeh im getting better i feel like im going backwards. could anyone just give me the procedure, i am placing my z2 bead, pushing it out then brushing forard to free edge, both sides? i dunno i just dont know what im doing wrong HELP HELP HELP!

I'm not sure exactly what you're saying is wrong with your side walls, are they too thick or too thin?

Side walls need to be thin and a really light touch with your brush is necessary also.

Place your bead in Z2. Press a small amount of the bead out to the right side wall and when close but not touching brush gently to smooth out and down to Z1. Then take your brush and stroke again in a manner that guides the product back towards the centre of the nail. Then press a small amount of the left over bead out to the left side wall and when close but not touching brush gently to smooth out and down to Z1. Then take your brush and stroke again in a manner that guides the product back towards the centre of then nail. Working with this technique builds a strong spine of product in the centre of the nail for strength and longevity.

Get a copy of 'nailclass' by Gigi Rouse for more techniques on product application.

thanks you for taking the time to reply to me Gigi, i will get a copy of nail class. not quite sure what you mean when you say stroke the product in a mannor back to the centre, sorry being a bit thick probably.x

What I mean is that when stroking from north to south, you can also put pressure on the hairs of the brush that also push the product to the east or west.

Imagine using your hand to move a mound of sand from east to west. You would use the edge of your palm and sort of twist your hand so that you pushed the sand over to the left. Well you do that with your brush with the bead.

just purchased your book on line Gigi, will let you know how i get on with it.x
