Hello!

I was just wondering if doing an NVQ in providing manacure treatments a good step towards becoming a nail tech?? or should I just do a course in foundation gel nails etc??

I definately think that doing a manicure course would benefit you before going to do an enhancement course. It gives you a good knowledge of nails in general and also if you are looking to go into this as a business/career then you'll probably want to be able to offer manicures as well as enhancements! Therefore I see a manicure qualification an essential. HTH x

i did level 2 nails first and felt it helped loads. it gave me confidence in knowing nail types and spotting any problems and also things like fileing
