Hi! Okay so I'm sure there is a thread or post for this but I was wondering if anyone had ideas on practing on something like wax paper? I'm sure it's possible but just checking. In the long run I will be doing pink and white sculptured acrylics and I love love love the 3D nail art you can do with acrylics! I've checked all my local book stores and online for tutorials but no luck. I know there may be a course in my area but I'm not quite there yet. Any way thanks for the advice and hints!!!!

You can laminate any paper and practise on this,
once your product is dry it will just come off and you can start again hth

i used to practise on anything that had a smooth surface!!!!

foil, carrier bags, nail forms, polish bottles,
just go for it practise makes perfect!!

well it's nice to practice on whatever you can, but the way your bead moves and dries if different from a material to another, and even different from the natural nail. so work your smiles on tips, do some nail art on, and practice for real on real nails asap. that's your best bet, as it doesn't cheat, you can have lifting, yellowing, etc.

You're awsome. Thanks for the support. Gosh ya know, now that i'm working in a professional salon/spa I have so many little questions and no mentor yet so this site has become a valuable assest for me.

Tammy Taylor does an amazing practise sheet, just print it out, laminate it and practise, but remember, it's flat......... and nails aren't, but it will help with product control and ratio.
