Hi All,

Ive been open since November, touch wood havent operated at a loss for any of those months yet. December was obviously my best month by miles.

I wanted to get opinions of people who have been in the industry longer than me when the 'hot/most profitable months & periods' are?

Also what are the top 3 selling products / treatments over the summer period?

I have a marketing budget I would like to spend soon and just want to make sure the summer months are a good month to be investing and Im not trying to push water up hill.

Thanks girls xxxxxx

i couldn't say for definite what our hot months are but i can say trade does drop for us in school holidays although this has been improving for us over the last year. Massage is always my most popular treatment, feet pick up in the warmer months and hot treatments in the cooler ones. HTH and good luck in your new venture. xx

May usually starts going mad, through til about September, although some parts of August can go quiet as everyone seems to go away then.
October it starts to get quieter and November it's spring cleaning/repairs/maintainance time in my salon, as it's dead.
Top treatments in summer are
waxing
pedicures/toe varnishes
eyelash tinting.
