Well I use Solar Oil from CND ... there is no better oil for this job and you do not need much as it is a top of the range product.

There are cheaper options, but none will do the job like Solar Oil.

I think 'best' is all a matter of opinion isn't it. Why don't you try a few, bearing in mind affordability in the cost of your treatments, ease of use, results etc., and decide which is best for you.

I use skintruth massage oil in my hot oil treatments simply because it does the job when used with heated mitts and because it's affordable when weighed against oils that are more expensive, such as sparitual cuti-cocktail which smells gorgeous and contains a mix of evening primrose oil, grapeseed and aloe oils and fragranced with ginger and fuji apple. I use this just to condition the surrounding tissue following enhancements or manicure/pedicure. :)

Can anyone tell me how you perform a hot oil manicure as I was never taught this but sounds fab!!!

Oddly enough I was looking back through my old college notes & was thinking of re-introducing hot oil in my deluxe manicures & pedicures. Any vegetable oil that nourishes & has emollient properties will do the trick (such as almond oil), but there are also a number of branded oils you can use of varying qualities. Considering the amount of oil you need to immerse the appendages in the oil, cost will have some bearing. I'm considering making up a rose & frankincense blend in a nourishing base, which I shall pour over the hand & foot so it runs into the bowl.
