Hi,

Just wondered on average how long nail files should last, I use the NSI 180 grit and I either go through them really quickly or I'm throwing them away before I need to. Anybody have any thoughts?

Well a re balance takes a fresh file imo and I use a 180 for that.
But a new client having a fresh set, now I am going to use popits will just get sanitised, there is so little filing that I cant justify throwing a a file away.
So long as you use a file that can be sanitised and this is carried out properly its not a problem, and yes for those who know me, this is a change of heart from me:lol: New service new technique:lol:

this is like saying 'how long is a piece of string'

it depends on so many factors.

the quality of the file.
the product you are filing.
how well you applied the product, sometimes you might be having a good day and there will be much less filing than if you are having a bad day and have loads of lums to sort out.

etc. etc.

:green:I use a new file for every client!!

I agree a new file per client. I use a 100/180 white file it only cost me 0.45p + vat. At the end of a set or rebalance, i bin it in front of the client.

This reassures the client that I don't re-use my files
